WiT: Women in Technology Conference Branding
A suite of modular brand elements for tech conference WiT (Women in Technology). It was important that the elements work at any size, and across analog and digital formats. I wanted to celebrate women in an energetic, professional way that evoked femininity without relying on tired tropes. Inspired by the bold graphics of the ‘60s, which was a pivotal time for the women’s rights movement, I paired these bright icons with a black and white logotype to anchor them. The geometric shapes similarly contrast long, rounded lines with sharp "pixels", similar to early Microsoft designs. Figma was used to create desktop and mobile versions of a landing page for the event.
I was tasked with making modular elements that could be broken apart and applied to any number of different applications, and we were not told up-front how they would be applied, so I had to be prepared for anything. This was an exciting design challenge, and my first foray into using Figma for UX/UI design. A look at my process here.
